Can't wait to see the fun pictures from the 2009 festival. I'll bet it was great. Had surgery on my other knee the tuesday before the festival so there was no chance for me this year. Great to see your awesome collection of DS signed photos! I wrote a two-part article on "Collecting Dark Shadows" for Autograph Magazine back in early 2003. I also interviewed several DS illuminaries for Scary Monsters magazine #55, published in 2006. My Shadows roots go all the way back to 1967, when I was 14. I watched the show everyday after school (junior high). In 1969, my sister and I began writing to DS stars and joining their fan clubs. I was lucky enough to go to the studio in its heyday and actually ran a club for Dennis ("Paul Stoddard") Patrick back in the day. DS has been a part of my life ever since (I'm now 56!). In 2003, I attended my first (and so far, only) DS convention. It was great to see the stars in person, especially Marie Wallace (whom I met back in 1969, when I was 16). Anyway, it's nice to touch base with solid fans of the show. I envy your collection--it's magnificent! Rod

Your pictures are a lot of fun to look at. looks like a lot of fun all the places you have gone. I still have not been able to get to a Dark Shadows festival yet. One of my long time goals. Like lots of folks, I remember my mom watching Dark Shadows when I was a kid. I didn't get to see much of it, but that theme music sure stuck with me. Over the past couple of years I bought the first two DVD collections and have been getting "caught up" with "Dark Shadows". What a wonderful show! I don't much care to see the more recent incarnation of "Dark Shadows", but I'll be interested to see how the planned movie turns out. I came to be re-introduced to "Dark Shadows" through a more recent vampire TV show, "Moonlight", which had one season on CBS and is now being shown on the Sci-Fi Channel. There are several "Moonlight" fan forums, and I chose "Barnabas" as my user name on the boards. One thing led to another, and now I'm having a blast watching the old episodes of "Dark Shadows". I think it's the show that really paved the way for shows like "Buffy", "Moonlight" and "True Blood". I'll coming to "Dark Shadows Resurrected" in August, although I'll only be able to make it for the final day's festivities. I'm really looking forward to the banquet, and the chance to meet some of the "Dark Shadows" actors and fellow fans of the show.

- We've built up our collections a little at a time. It took years to accomplish it, one set at a time. Now the sets are cheaper, you can buy at http://www.amazon.com. You can rent episodes on http://www.netflix.com. Also, look into the NEW CD audio dramas (available from the fan website at www.darkshadowsfestival.com.) Jonathan is still quite the looker! I was born in 1967 and hooked on DS from the first rerun I saw as a kid. They just don't make shows like we grew up on anymore. Good clean innuendo and suggestion....Thanks for all you do and will do here in the future. I will not get to meet Jonathan in this lifetime but thanks to you I can see he is still okay and still shares with his fans the joy he gave us so long ago.Give him my eternal Love when you see him next.

I am anxious to see the up coming movie dark shadows from Johnny Depp. I am a huge fan of dark shadows, the music it played, the stories that played out, the romance and heart of the best vampire Johnaton Frid EVER. The gentleness & clean conversation amongst the characters. These days its cut throat, bloody, bad language, and even vulgar watching vampire movies. Dark Shadows stories are very much missed in todays society, but its in my heart and memory forever. Thank you Dark Shadows for those memories, I treasure them. Penny P.
