You obviously love your cat family, and who could blame you. We have four: Peter (Petey), a domestic tan and white, who is 10 years old, Nicholas (Nick), a long-haired tabby, who is about 12 years old, Simeon Earl (Simmie), an Abyssinian, who is 6 years old and Cleo, a black and white female with semi-long hair, who is 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Tears came to my eyes when I read the narrative of your cats who were no longer with you. I love my babies so much, especially Cleo, my special and only girl. Cleo was a stray who just took up at the house and now follows me around like a little puppy. She is so smart. She will go in the yard and bring me flowers out of the garden!!! Will look forward to watching your catcams!!! Thanks for being such a great kitty lover who shares her babies with the world.
- Thank you so much for all of the nice comments. It is obvious that you are as good to yours. Send us some pictures of your cats and we will consider posting them here. - S&V

I love the pictures, they are so cute! I too, have 2 cats 15yrs an 4 yearold male. just a few weeks ago. im by my garage an i heard a faint meow, went to the garage found her in the wall, she wouldnt let me touch her she was feral, so i left the door open left some food an water. she did get out her family, stayed close to her then i havnt seen them since, i still leave food out for the strays, this past winter 3 ft of snow iwent out everyday to see if they were ok . i try to trap them in a cage then i take them to the spay an neuter clinc this is my mission
- Izzy - Is this the same Izzy that we know? Great to hear from you! we have had a similar experience with one of our cats James, where we went on vacation for a week, and when we came back the garage was a mess and the litlle bit of litter under the car had been used. We captured James (still have him) and his mom? (and found a good home for her!). There are considerably less strays in the neighborhood since we moved in! - S&V

You all are truly cat people! We have one cat, Patches, we've had her since she was 6 weeks old and she turned 16 in February. Such love!! Sorry to hear about you losing your Socrates. It is like losing a member of the family.
- Thanks for the comment on Socrates, he was well loved, and is truly missed. Sounds like you are doing a great job taking care of a 16 year old cat! - S&V

Your kitties are beautiful! Those stained glass windows are really neat. Did you have them custom made? Curious.
Enjoyed your site.

- Yes, the stained glass octagon windows were custom made. They are designed from pictures of 3 of our kitties. Thank you so much for visiting us Cathy, and our furry babies. You are welcome to come back and leave a note anytime. - S&V

Hello!
I have a cat named Macavity and was surfing to see other cats with this name. I will try to attach his picture. He looks astonishingly like your Macavity.
Cheers,
Al Gregory
Thanks for the pic Al:

and for the great e-mail. We think that your Mac looks more like our Quentin:

than our Macavity:

They are all handsome cats though. We are aware of the T. S. Eliot poem as he was named for the character in the Andrew Lloyd Webber play 'Cats' based on Elliot's poems. We were not aware of a Sherlock Holmes reference though. Thanks for visiting and come back again, and don't forget to visit the kittycam - S&V

Thanks for sending the link. I really enjoyed the photos but wasn't sure I recognized anyone but the two of you. The Maya area seems particularly. Glad you were able to cruise again. We were in St. Maarten in January for Vern to attend a meeting. Sandy
- Thank you, Sandy. I can say that there were about 5 repeat person(s) or couples this year. Glad you were in St. Maarten, and not in very cold (Where's the Global Warming) Wisconsin. We should keep in touch. We enjoyed the time together last year. This year was very informative and the group, like last year, was wonderful - S&V

Dear Scott and Virginia,
Since I could not make it this year It was nice taking the virtual tour with you. I saw some familiar faces in your photo shots. Your tour brightened my day.
I had a cat named Pepper Cat. I had her for 14 years. I raised her but never really owned her. She was an outdoor cat that would disappear every Summer to live on her own in the forests full coyotes and fishers. Both love to eat cats. She always came back in the fall, lean and mean. One year she never returned. I guess she lost a step. That was my favorite cat. She would actually go into the water to catch catfish. There was a shallow pond not far from our house. I never saw her do it but she would come back soaking wet and show off the catfish to me before eating it.
If you want to know what I've been up to just google my name. I made a stab at running for Hillsborough County Attorney last Fall as a write in candidate. I got more write in votes than all of the other write in candidates combined and I campaigned for only 5 days. I'm officially running for 2010. The internet commercials star my dog Kenny Boy. It was a real hoot working with him. Kenny Boy is one smart dog. Take after take, he never lost interest. The growling and barking is all his.

-Great to hear from you Sorry to hear about Pepper Cat. Sounds like she lived a full life. Gerard. Sorry you couldn't be on the cruise this year. In some ways it was better than last year, and we all learned quite a bit, and had a great time. Good luck with the campaign and with Kenny Boy starring in the commercials! - S&V

Scott and Virginia, we are truly sorry about losing Tony. We have fond memories of our previous visits when we saw him in good health. You provided him with a safe and healthy long life. Thank you for letting us be part of Tony's life.
- Thanks Jan. Tony was with us for so long it will take some time for us to get used to life without him. Thankfully his ill health did not last long. Thank you so much for visiting so often from Austrailia! - S&V
